WHY SHOULD YOU EXERCISE? 10 AMAZING BENEFITS YOU NEVER THOUGHT OF

This article may contain affiliated links from our partners. Full disclosure is kinda boring, but you can find it here.

Should or should you not exercise is becoming less and less of a question. No one can argue that staying physically active is the best habit to adopt to live longer. Regular exercising has already been a proven method to lower blood pressure, prevent heart disease and improve cognitive function. Additionally, millions of people successfully use workouts to keep themselves slim and fit.

Yet, not everybody knows that apart from health advantages such as illness prevention or weight management, exercising has other amazing benefits.

And it is now my honor to convey this great news to you. Let’s get to it!

so why should you exercise?

1. A quick workout can instantly energize you

It is a bummer when you have a sudden energy drop in the middle of a busy workday when you still have so much to accomplish.

Did you know that the quickest and most efficient way to regain your power is a physical workout?

It doesn’t mean you have to leave your office or desk and head to the gym for an hour session.

All you need is 5-10 minutes during which you can choose to do:

  • running – up and down the stairs,
  • pushups or sit-ups,
  • weights,
  • jumping jacks.

I promise after that you will feel like a different person, with new energy and eagerness to keep moving towards your daily goals.

2. Regular exercising will make you more resilient

Since many activities in our life require endurance and vitality, then in order to engage in them you better be physically fit and strong.  I am sure nobody wants to be out of breath when playing with their kids or assembling a piece of furniture.

Whether you are hiking a mountain, or just running your daily chores, it becomes much easier and more enjoyable if you are doing it while you are in good shape.

As an addition to that, regular exercising is making you immune to stresses. As you become stronger now you are less likely to crumble under life’s pressure.

3. Physical activity improves your social life

We can’t deny anymore that the world is changing. It is shifting into more awareness and leaning towards healthy lifestyle choices.

More and more people nowadays connect with each other through healthy experiences and choose to be active over sitting in front of the tv.

Gathering over physical activities can greatly expand your social life. Indeed an energetic and lively person is more likely to attract new friends.

Joining a volleyball or soccer team, involving yourself in a hiking or biking group, engaging in a dance or yoga community – whichever one you choose, it is almost guaranteed that you meet new people and enrich your social life.

4. Regular exercising will benefit your mental health

mood swings, anxiety,

Physical activity indeed is a good way to elevate your mental health. It is a natural and most effective way to improve your mood and to make you feel good.

If you are looking for a non-pharmaceutical solution for your anxiety or panic attacks – exercising should be your number one choice. Adding exercise to your daily routine will improve the intensity and frequency of anxiety and depression.

5. Exercising can boost your creativity

If you ever spend hours working behind the computer you know the feeling of being mentally foggy. At these moments your vision is unclear and your productivity goes down.

And if your job has to do with creativity (like mine, when I have to produce interesting and useful content), then you know how blah it can feel when you are out of good ideas.

So for me the question of why should you exercise stops being a question.

I know for a fact, that exercising is a miraculous method that energizes the cognitive functionality of my brain and rewires my creativity.

Apparently, the endorphins that are released during the exercise produce their own big bang which helps fuel original and abstract ideas.  At least that’s how I see it. And I am loving it!

6. Exercising makes you happier

Although we can argue for centuries about what is happiness, we will still never come to an unambiguous answer.

However, what we know from science already is that certain hormones are responsible for making us feel good. Serotonin, dopamine, endorphins and oxytocin are the ones that make us aspired, excited and eager for life.

Among those, endorphins are most commonly linked to exercise, meaning you have unlimited access to it, prescription free, any time you want. So what are you waiting for?

7. It will make your up-to-date and trendy

Turning our heads in the direction of spiritual awakening, we are much more aware today than we are only 20 years ago.

Our 30-40 years ago “ancestors” were more materialistic, down-to-the-earth folks that appreciated a sit-down restaurant with a good steak and a movie night. They worried about the accumulation of goods, climbing the corporate ladder and consumerism.

But we are a different species and we are rapidly adapting to the latest trends. And one of these trend’s direction is healthy living

Indeed, eating healthy and exercising turns into a global movement. Carrying a pair of sneakers or  yoga mat in the car becomes a routine and attending Sunday cycling class is almost mundane.

The modern world is very dynamic and we are riding it at an extremely high speed. And, hun, you are on this train, whether you want it or not. So you better hold on.

And if you are still making excuses and jokes about exercising it means that you live in a world that doesn’t exist anymore.

8. Exercising will boost your confidence

Self-esteem, self-love along with self-acceptance has long been regarded as our’s Achilles heel. Millions of books are written concerning the improvement of a positive self-image. Thousand of seminars are given in order to teach people confidence. And yet we are ignoring the very obvious tool we have right here up our sleeve.

The answer is so easy  – in order to feel more confident, do something that can make you feel better about yourself.

So, let me ask you something. Would you feel proud of yourself if you would run a 5K marathon?

Do you think you would feel better of yourself if you are in shape to dance all night? Would you enjoy yourself more if a moderate-rated hike in a national park felt like an easy one for you?

9. Exercising helps you to stay in the moment

When you are exercising and you are in the zone is almost like a meditative type of state. It brings you to the present moment where you can experience this world as it is and through your senses.

In fact I like the idea of THE NOW. It is very potent and there is real power behind it. I even believe that only there we can find real life, connect with ourselves and find the source of well-being.

10. Regular exercise Improves the look of the skin

Have you ever noticed how nice your skin looks after spending the day outside doing something active, like hiking or biking?

Indeed exercising, especially outdoors is the briefest way to give a tired skin makeover.

In fact, it is not only the immediate result of instant vibrancy and a glow that you can enjoy.  In addition to that your skin’s color and texture change for the better leaving you looking more youthful and fresh than ever before.

11. Regular exercising Improves your sex life

Sex is a workout and in order to perform well during this particular workout session you need to be in shape. If you are constantly out of energy how can you fully enjoy this wonderful part of human life?

What’s more, regular exercising prevents common sexual malfunctions in both men and women. Also when you are in shape both, your energy and your desire, are there.

Do you still have doubts whether you should go exercise?
